Who is a health coach?
Health Coaches are knowledgeable advisers who provide ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness. As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition advice to determine what changes are necessary for you.
What is holistic health coaching?
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. A health coach is a wellness guide and supportive mentor. Together, we’ll work to achieve your goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, food cravings, sleep and energy. Through working with me, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the foods and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.
What is bio-individuality?
The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has her or his own food and lifestyle needs. So, when the experts say, “dairy products are good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it doesn’t apply to everyone. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, personal preferences, and background. Instead of prescribing one fix for all people, I use a personalized, holistic approach that is based on your needs.
Can you tell me more about your program?
The program is designed to help you reach your optimum health and wellness potential. As your health coach I’ll support you in making the positive changes in your primary as well as secondary foods according to your unique condition, lifestyle and personal preferences. The program is specifically tailored according to your goals and needs.
Can you explain the concept of primary food?
We are not only fed by food but by other factors in our lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual practice are essential forms of nourishment which we call “primary food”. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.
Why is the program 6 months?
Lifestyle changes don’t happen in one night, they need time to settle. You can think about this six months as a journey in which you will develop a deeper connection with yourself. You might encounter challenges during this journey and through these challenges you will manage to create a stronger connection. After you finish your program with me, you will be able to make right choices about your nutrition, health and other aspects of your well-being.
Can’t it be shorter?
I don’t suggest a shorter program but if you really don’t have six months, then we can talk about the details of shorter program during the initial consultation according to your specific condition and needs.
Why do we meet every two weeks?
Meeting every two weeks gives you the time to arrange yourself according to what we have discussed in our last session. If it’s about nutrition, it gives you time to make your shopping, cook different things, observe the effects on yourself. It’s the same thing if it’s about exercise, self-care, relationships etc. One week is too short to make the change and observe the potential effects.
Can we meet every week instead of every two weeks?
As I mentioned in the previous question two weeks is a good time to make changes and observe the results of those changes but if you have a really good reason to meet weekly, we can talk about it. Otherwise I suggest meeting every other week.
What are the payment options?
You can pay with PayPal no matter what part of the world you live. PayPal is a safe way of making payments and you don’t need to have a PayPal account to send payments. You can pay with personal checks if you live in the United States. If you live in Turkey and you don’t prefer to use PayPal you can make a wire transfer to my bank account in Turkey. Please contact me about the wire transfer details.
Can I pay it with credit card?
You can use your credit card with your PayPal payments.
